Meet the founders
Mawi is founded by Hugo and William, born and raised in Stockholm.
The idea began with a simple frustration when I was searching for glassware for my apartment. I wanted thin, elegant crystal glasses that would not break my budget. The search turned out to be harder than expected. Sure, beautiful glasses did exist, but their prices felt impossible to justify.
That challenge sparked the idea of MAWI. I wanted to create the best glassware accessible to more people. Too many times, nice glasses are kept behind closed doors, reserved for special occasions. William and I believe glasses are meant to be used and enjoyed. We also believe that it is possible to combine design and performance while also being affordable. Mawi is our testimony to that.
